 Watching the leaves falling from the trees makes one think of the days ahead when we have a little less daylight and a little more time.  It is time to consider the possibility of starting up a new book club.  A few library patrons over the past few months have expressed an interest in book clubs, and now is a great time to start one.

While the Library does not have enough staffing to plan and/or execute a book club, we can offer some space during open Library hours.  Reach out to friends/acquaintances to see who may be interested in joining.  Here is an article that may be helpful in getting started:  https://www.perpetualpageturner.com/how-to-start-a-book-club/

REMINDER:  The Crafty Friends of the China Village Library meet on Tuesdays from 3-5 pm.  All or welcome to join.  If you don't have a specific craft in mind, join in anyway.  There is always a lot of laughter coming from that room!  We have craft supplies and willing teachers for knitting and crocheting, and others working on paper and fiber arts.  If you have knitting/crocheting problems or questions, this group may be able to help.  Stop by, say hello, and see if this may be an interesting past-time for the coming months.  The Crafty Friends are participating in the upcoming Craft Fair at the China Middle School on November 4.  Start your holiday shopping early and support the Library at the same time.
