August is the perfect time to gather with neighbors, dive into a new book, and enjoy one last round of summer magic before the school year begins. Whether you are looking for books, family fun, or classes to get your creative juices flowing - The Albert Church Brown Memorial Library has something for everyone to enjoy!
For those of you who have been enjoying our Summer Reading Bingo Challenge, please stop in at the Library with your Bingo Cards before August 9th to be entered into our grand prize drawing.
Children may continue to redeem their remaining Bingo prizes through the rest of the month.

Tales of Humanoid Encounters with Nomar Slevik

Calling all lovers of the odd and unusual! Paranormal author and podcaster, Nomar Slevik, will be sharing stories from his new book, Humanoid Encounters. "Humanoid Encounters takes you deep into the eerie, uncharted territories where the unknown walks among us. From shadowy figures glimpsed on deserted roads to bizarre beings lurking at the edge of human perception, these chilling accounts blur the line between folklore, the paranormal, and something far more unsettling."
Yoga at The Library
Tuesday, August 5th @ 6:00 pm
Registered Yoga Teacher , Marissa Steiner, has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. This class will encourage you to slow down, breathe mindfully, and explore gentle movement. No experience? No problem! This class is beginner-friendly. We do ask for a suggested donation of $10 per person which will go directly to the instructor. Space is limited. Hungry Caterpillar Storytime

Join us for a Hungry Caterpillar Storytime! Wallace will be reading “The Very Hungry Caterpillar Eats Breakfast” and sharing information on how families can sign up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. There will be special themed crafts, activities, and free play following the story.
Lego Club

Children and Teens of all ages are invited to join us for our monthly LEGO Club at the China Village Library. The theme this month is outdoors and camping. We provide the LEGOS, you bring the creativity!
***There will be a drawing for a special LEGO set for all participants, so you won't want to miss it!***
Craft Night: Fabric Flower Collages with April & Ann
Tuesday, August 19th @ 6:00 pm
Join April and Ann for Craft Night at the China Village Library on Tuesday, August 19th @ 6:00. This month they will be walkout through how to make fabric flower collages. This class is limited to 10 people, so please email chinalibraryacb@gmail.com to reserve your space. All supplies are included. Suggested donation of $3 will go directly to the teachers to help cover the cost of materials.
Sensory Storytime with Little Fern & Friends

A Sensory Storytime is a welcoming and engaging program designed for all children to enjoy storytelling through hands-on, play-based activities. Each session combines an interactive read-aloud with sensory-rich experiences that help bring the story to life—supporting learning, creativity, and fun. The event will be held downstairs to make it more accessible for families. We kindly ask that families sign up in advance to reserve a spot.
