Reading China’s History Through the Landscape with Lilja Bernheim
Join
the Albert Church Brown Memorial Library for a special historical
presentation on Reading China’s History Through the Landscape by Lilja
Bernheim on Friday, June 26th @ 6:00 pm.
Lilja is a South China resident and Heritage PhD Candidate at the University of Stirling. The
environment holds memory. From stone walls to cedar trees to streams
running atop old dams, landscape legacies speak to the generations who
have called China home before us. This presentation will highlight some
of the ways you can “read” the history of China through the landscape
and offer suggestions for how to cultivate a sense of curiosity in your
own backyard.
